After School Club

Day 2:

We decorated the buns as some cuddly animals today. We all got to make a Panda bear and Shauna the Sheep. 

They both had a white base onto which we put the design. 

To add texture we dipped the buns into coconut for the panda's fur. 

To get the little pieces of icing to stick we used a little bit of water to act as glue. 

They all turned out different from each other. The children showed great creativity. 

Day 1:

I was lucky to take part in one of our after school clubs today. One of our talented mam's held a cake decorating class with the children. 

Today we learned how to decorate some buns as Elmo, Oscar and Cookie Monster. The first step was making our own buttercream. Then we added in the food colouring and made sure to mix it well. 

Then we put it into the pipeing bags to pipe the icing onto the buns. 

I think they turned out really well

We added eyes and some other little touches with fondant icing. 

They were "almost" too good to eat!
