Mummies

We took part in a fun art lesson today.

We used green garden wire to twist into a general "mummy" outline shape.

Then using strips of cotton sheets we wrapped our mummies up!

When they were all wrapped up we were able to shape them into interesting poses!

Like this fella, chilling out!

And these lads....

Planting Time

It's time to harvest. With the mixture of

warmth and rain over the last little while our lettuce has had a serious growth spirt. It's time to harvest the lettuce and enjoy the results.

We got five big heads of lettuce this time out of our box.

After another week or so we will be able to harvest the beatroot. We hope to make some healthy smoothies from the beatroot.

A quick photo update of our lettuce:

As you can see its shooting up!

We made the most of the nice weather and got outside to do some panting.

We learnt how to plant lettuce, radishes and rhubarb. We hope that the slugs don't get to them and we will be able to taste some of our vegetables before we head off on our holidays in June.

Lego Fun

We all became engineers today. Using Lego we made an exercise bike, it even had its own working parts moved by a motor!

We each got a box full of the different Lego parts and a manual with the step by step instructions.

As we worked through making the bike it started to get more and more complicated!

But we were well able to take our time and work through the problem.

This is the final product hooked up to the motor which made the wheels move.
