First of all, we had our two Kilcoskan teams competing in the Credit Union quiz 2018 at regional level. The senior team, which came from our class, consisted of Róisín A, Caoimhín, Roisin C.D. and Eoghan and they performed very well, consisting 6th out of the 8 teams. A shame that they won't be in the final round but they seemed to really enjoy themselves anyway!
In addition to this, we have taken another trip back to our school garden! With the help of Gráinne, our 5th and 6th class helped to plant brand new trees which came to us from Tully Nurseries! We hope to see them flourish as the year goes on.
This Friday the 2nd of February, we also had our very own celebration of Grandparents Day in 5th and 6th! Several grandparents were kind enough to come in to visit us, and we favoured them with a poem and a performance of Raglan Road, as well as tea and biscuits graciously provided by SNA Rosemary and our secretary Susan. After our performance, we all sat around to relax, chat and play a few board games. Overall, it was a really lovely day and we hope that the grandparents enjoyed it just as much as we did!
Finally, here are some other photos from the past month featuring basketball for PE, making circuits in Science and a rowdy bus trip to our first swimming lesson of 2018 in Finglas! In the next week or so, we will upload the images from our second official visit to Newpark Care Home and our first as part of the Bealtaine project.
