Valentine's Day Art

We examined the work of Robert Indiania. He is an Americia. Artist who specialises in Pop Art.

One of his iconic pieces is called Love. It is a steel sculpture which can be found in New York. It was first made in 1970. Today it has been reproduced in various forms, it has even been translated into different languages.

We used his sculpture as our inspiration for our art work today in class.

Using various sizes of lettering and arrangements we spelt out the word Love and laid it on card. Then using splatter painting of finger painting we added colour around the lettering. When it is dry we will take away the cardboard letters and hopefully reveal the Love outline.
