The great Kilcoskan potato race

Today we started our journey to grow the largest amount of potatoes here in Kilcoskan.  

Each classes is planting their own seed potato  and will look after it over the coming weeks. 

We decided as a class the mixture of top soil and manure that we wanted to plant our potato in. We learnt that manure is very important for the growth of the potato. We learnt that it takes two years before the manure is ready to use and at that stage it has no smell (that is how you know it is ready!)
