Scientists at Work in 5th and 6th

 Hello everyone!
We are all back at school now after a refreshing week off! November is going to be a science themed month in our classroom. We are lucky to have been given access to an excellent science website called 'Science Fusion' so we will be working scientifically for the next while!

Our whiteboard was down today however which impinged upon our scientific investigations. Instead we went outside with our Primary Planet magazines and our whiteboards. We read the magazines in search of two things: scientific vocabulary and scientific facts. We found plenty of both. We worked in pairs- and one group found 77 scientific terms! We shared our words with each other and discussed what the words mean. We will be adding them to our science wall tomorrow. We went back into class then and made our Scientific Journals. We recorded the rules for science lessons at the front. We will be using these journals to track our progress, experiments and to record our observations.
