Another Day in 5th and 6th..

Hello everyone, we had another busy week in Kilcoskan. 6th class made their confirmation on Wednesday. They did magnificently and I was a very proud teacher! That’s a post for another day however! 5th class had a great day on Thursday, as they had my full undivided attention without all the confirmation preparation going on! We had a great day. We learned the dance to Up Town Funk; we had drama, PE, art and lots of debates which they love!

We made stained glass windows in art from lasagne sheets. It was fun!

taking over my chair!

very serious card game going on between the three musketeers!

European Country Projects

We were learning all about Europe and the EU for the past two weeks. Here are some of our finished projects. More to come next week!

A Treat for Table of the Week

The table of the week had a very special surprise, they got to make chocolate houses! They threw in some marshmallows, smarties and coke bottles too. And we made jelly and popcorn. I wonder what treat we'll have next week?!

Art in 5th and 6th Class

We created illuminated letters in art, here are samples of Olivia's, Ali's and Ileta's work. More to come next week!

Maths in Kilcoskan

We were learning about percentages this week in school. We planned a barbeque for the end of the year using Aldi leaflets. We all spent different amounts, and had to deduct 20% off as there was a summer sale on. It was great practice for deducting percentages!
